Back on Track® Hock/Ankle Wraps (Tarsal Brace)

Back On Track Hock/Ankle Wraps are expertly manufactured from a revolutionary, durable polyester material, which incorporates the unique Welltex™ ceramic fabric that gives the product it‘s heat-reflecting properties. The product is secured using four hook & loop straps and is sold in pairs.

To obtain the appropriate size requirement, the important dimension is the length of the leg (in a straight line down) from the just below the thigh to the top of the paw. Also, measure the circumference of the animal's leg above the first joint (tarsus) to give you the upper leg dimension. Measure the circumference of the animal's leg between top of the paw & the tarsus (hock) joint to give you the lower leg dimension. Please see image,below main picture.

(The Shin/Leg Wraps & Hock/Ankle Wraps do not reinforce or immobilize the limbs in a similar way to that of splint. However, when fitted securely, but comfortably (utilising the hook & loop straps), they do form a robust support, yet still allows for normal movement.)

It is recommended only to use these items during rest periods, around the home, normal walking, etc., not during strenuous physical exercise (eg. competition). Before use, please ensure that there is nothing, on the part of the leg to be covered, that would snag the Wrap’s inner threads. Also, if out & about in areas such as muddy or scrubland, the Wraps could be covered with a light, aerated material (eg. an old T-Shirt or sock material) to help minimise damage to the outer threads, along with protecting and keeping them clean.
