Back on Track® Hock Boots, Standard

Manufactured using the unique Welltex™ ceramic infused cotton/polyester fabric in a neoprene shell and secured with 3 Velcro straps, which covers the whole area. Sold individually or in pairs.

It is recommended only to use this product during rest periods, stabling, turnout or light hacking, not during strenuous physical exercise and, preferably, the horse should be in an upright position & not allowed to roll or lie down while wearing the Hock Boots*.

If the horse has a tendency to lie down in the stable or has open wounds at the point of the hock, then the With Hole variety, might be the better option (see separate listing).

Sizing guidelines:  Measure the circumference of the horse’s leg, roughly 5” (125cm) above and below the centre of the joint, but the Velcro straps do offer some +/- adjustability.

* PLEASE NOTE: The strength exerted by the flexing of the leg as a horse lays down and gets up again, could stretch the “fully enclosed” style boot(s) to such an extent that the stitching can be ripped apart or the neoprene shell tears (rendering the boot, non-repairable). To prevent, possibly, slippage, bandage a Back on Track pad or Quick Wraps, around the lower leg and the boot should stay put during movement.  

Approximate Sizing guidelines: Extra Small (9.36hh – 12.1hh), S = Pony (12.2hh – 14.1hh), M = Cob (14.2hh – 15.1hh), L = Horse (15.2hh – 16.2hh) and XL = Large Horse (16.3hh + ).
